Cava United: the first Club in the CommonsFC network
Cava United Football Club is a community-owned, inclusive and participatory football project, founded in Cava de’ Tirreni in 2014. Our story is based on transparency, collective responsibility and the active involvement of the local community and supporters.
Our Association follows the principle of “one member, one vote”, ensuring internal democracy and direct participation of members. There are no private owners or sponsors deciding for us: all decisions are shared and discussed within the members’ assembly, respecting grassroots governance.

“I Campi in Periferia” is much more than a documentary: it is an authentic journey through the stories, struggles, and dreams of grassroots football. A look inside the pitches, the neighborhoods, and the assemblies where an alternative, community-led sports model is built, based on participation, inclusion, and a true sense of belonging.
Through the story of Cava United and the voices of those involved, this docufilm delivers a universal message: another kind of football is possible, if we start from people, neighborhoods, and communities.

CFC Token: the digital recognition for those who actively support Cava United
The CFC Token is the digital system that rewards those who actively contribute to the Club and the CommonsFC network. It is not a speculative tool, but a transparent and concrete way to recognize the commitment of members, supporters, registered players and partners who help build a new model of community-owned, inclusive and transparent football.
Cava United is the first Club where the token is being tested in practice: every useful action, every positive contribution to the Club, the community or the territory is rewarded in a transparent and traceable way. A simple tool to strengthen the sense of belonging and make everyone’s contribution visible.
